Before you join

No swipes, just vibes. Cafe-Vibes introduces adults who choose to meet in a public café. Use an email you control and confirm you are 18 or older.

Invite-only admission

Cafe-Vibes is invite-only. A human reviews every application before anyone can go Live. Live pairing stays off until admission is granted.

Applications are not open yet (ADMISSION_PAUSED). You can request an invitation from the app preview or the Cafe-Vibes website. Requesting an invite does not admit you and does not turn on Live.

The meeting loop

Product lock: a blind 5-10 minute café speed date, then a forced yes or no. No swipes in the matching loop.

Demo preview uses a 10-minute in-person date timer, then a forced yes or no. Production target is a 5-10 minute blind café date with the same forced choice. We do not book, host or verify venues.

A mutual yes removes both of you from pairing. Any no, decline or unanswered decision permanently excludes that pair. Cancelling before the meeting means a 24-hour wait. Missing arrival means a 72-hour wait for the person who did not confirm. You can leave a meeting at any time. The timer is not a requirement to stay somewhere you feel uncomfortable.

What we save

We save your email, adult and terms confirmations, profile answers, availability, quest progress, café proposals, coordination messages, choices and reports. Session cookies keep you signed in. Your introduction sees your neighborhood, shared café proposal and messages. Profile answers stay private for the blind date. Contact details are revealed only after mutual yes when that feature is live.

The app owner can access accounts, quests and reports to operate the service and address concerns. Sign-in codes are emailed to you. Admission includes human review of an ID and applicant photos; it does not establish background, conduct, location, arrival or the truth of personal claims.

Your application

Joining requires an invitation and approval before you can go Live. We save your application answers, optional social links, private ID and photos for owner review. Images are encrypted in private server storage and are not shown to other members. This is not end-to-end encryption: the authorized owner can view them. ID views are logged.

ID access expires 72 hours after a decision; the next scheduled cleanup or app request removes the file. We retain a review receipt and a keyed identity identifier derived from the ID name and birth date, without saving those details as text. Photos and application answers remain until replaced or your account is deleted. A declined application has a 30-day reapplication wait; keyed email and identity identifiers preserve that wait after deletion. Decisions and any requested changes appear in the app.

Your controls

When Live is available for admitted members, it stays on until you switch to Not live, unless a match or account pause takes you out of the pool. Switching off stops new introductions and keeps a current date in place. Chat opens after both accept and closes when the meeting starts. Alerts require the app to remain open. Report a concern from a quest to block further pairing and end an active quest. Reports are for review by the app owner; they are not an emergency service.

Delete your account in Settings to remove your email, profile, sessions and associated free text. Operational backups are purged on deletion. Quest counts and events without your account link remain, alongside keyed identifiers used only to preserve pair exclusions if an email returns. These identifiers do not store the email itself. Exports already downloaded by the owner require the same deletion handling.
